FSCA is leading the way in developing a holistic health and wellness program for students through our new Synergy Wellness Program!
This program has a data-driven portfolio component that allows our school to work with you to develop an individual Health and Wellness Plan that targets the specific needs of your student. From student-athletes that require activity-focused nutrition and caloric intake to ensure optimal performance or a youngster who is just beginning to learn healthy eating and exercise habits, the
Synergy Wellness plan is right for you! Each student's plan helps to establish nutrition goals based on the USDA’s well-established MyPlate set dietary guidelines. Your child’s plan will also include healthier eating options that promote overall wellness and provide a suggested fitness routine.
The Centers for Disease Control states that childhood obesity is a serious problem in the United States putting children and adolescents at risk for poor health. Obesity prevalence among children and adolescents is still too high.

Childhood obesity is also more common among certain populations. Hispanics (25.8%) and non-Hispanic blacks (22.0%) had higher obesity prevalence than non-Hispanic whites (14.1%).
Florida State Christian Academy students receive a free FitBit health and wellness monitoring watch. Fitbit devices are designed to track important health and activity markers, including heart rate, quality of sleep and the number of steps taken.
The Synergy Wellness Program uses the app’s in-browser dashboard to view student’s progress over time and log workouts. Students will receive a personalized login to keep track of their progress. This is also a great opportunity for the entire family to get involved.
FSCA provides nutritional breakfast and lunch options daily, through the National School Lunch Program, and offers a variety of fitness and activity options through Personal Fitness, Weight Training, Sports, Dance, and Martial Arts to name just a few.

Through Synergy, we not only instruct our students how to prepare their own food in our Culinary Arts Vocational Pathway, but we also teach them the importance of serving their community at school and home. Through partnerships with Dan McCarty Middle School and Tradition Worship Center we have been able to provide over 5,000 meals each week to families in need, during the COVID-19 pandemic, that’s over 1,000 meals per day.
